Based in New York City and raised in New England, John-Michael Breen is an award-winning actor, director and collaborator passionate about creating work that is dynamic, inclusive and energetic.

He is a vocalist whose pop/rock stylings found him traveling the US & Canada on the critically acclaimed 10th Anniversary tour of ROCK OF AGES. Other performances have brought him to venues such as Symphony Hall in Boston, Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh, NYC’s Don't Tell Mama and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

John-Michael is also a proud supporter & advocate of theater education and youth theatre. He has taught masterclasses, workshops & private coachings, most recently for the Musical Theatre Intensive at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith, NH.

He loves vintage clothing, horror movies and is registered to vote.

New Hampshire THEATRE AWARD - WINNER!

In late January, John-Michael was honored to win the New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Professional Musical for his work as Amos Hart in CHICAGO at The Winnipesaukee Playhouse.
